Our Bachata classes in Southport take you from your very first basic step through to advanced partnerwork. We teach the foundations properly: timing, posture, weight transfer, frame and the lead-and-follow skills that let you dance with anyone, anywhere.
From there you build the things that make Bachata feel like Bachata — body movement, isolations, styling, musical interpretation and the sensual elements danced with control and good taste.
Most of our Bachata students are adults between their thirties and fifties who came in with no experience at all. You do not need a partner, a background in dance or any natural rhythm. You need one hour a week and a willingness to laugh at yourself early on.

- Do I need a partner for Bachata classes?
- No. Come on your own — we rotate partners through the class so everyone dances.
- I'm in my 40s and have never danced. Is that a problem?
- Not at all. Our classes are adult classes, and most people start as complete beginners.
- What should I wear?
- Comfortable clothes you can move in and shoes with a smooth sole that let you turn.
