Membership Terms & Flexibility

Silver Membership — 6 month commitment

Silver members may pause their membership for up to a combined total of 4 weeks during their 6-month membership term.

During an approved pause:

• Membership payments are temporarily suspended.
• Class access and membership benefits are suspended.
• The pause period is added to the end of the membership term.
• The member therefore still completes the full 6 months of active paid membership.

For example, if a Silver member pauses for three weeks, their membership end date will be extended by three weeks.

Gold Membership — 12 month commitment

Gold members may pause their membership for up to a combined total of 8 weeks during their 12-month membership term.

During an approved pause:

• Membership payments are temporarily suspended.
• Class access and membership benefits are suspended.
• The pause period is added to the end of the membership term.
• The member therefore still completes the full 12 months of active paid membership.

For example, if a Gold member pauses for six weeks, their membership end date will be extended by six weeks.

Pause conditions

• Minimum pause period: 1 week.
• At least 7 days' notice is required.
• Pauses cannot be applied retrospectively.
• Maximum two separate pause periods per membership term.
• Silver: maximum combined pause of 4 weeks.
• Gold: maximum combined pause of 8 weeks.
• Payments, class access and membership benefits are suspended during the pause.
• Paused periods do not count towards completion of the membership commitment.
• Every paused week is added to the membership end date.
• Unused pause entitlement has no cash value and cannot be refunded, credited, carried forward or transferred.

Additional flexibility may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of JT Dance Academy and subject to applicable consumer law.

Green, Bronze and Flex memberships are designed for students who prefer greater flexibility and therefore do not include a membership pause entitlement.

These memberships may be cancelled in accordance with their applicable cancellation notice requirements, and members are welcome to rejoin when they are ready to return.

If circumstances change and a Silver or Gold member is unable to complete their remaining membership term, they may apply to transfer the remainder of their membership to another person.

A $75 Membership Transfer Fee applies.

Conditions

• All transfers require approval from JT Dance Academy.
• The outgoing member is responsible for finding the incoming member unless otherwise agreed.
• The incoming member must meet applicable level or eligibility requirements.
• The incoming member must accept the remaining membership term and conditions.
• The outgoing member's account must be fully paid and up to date.
• The entire remaining membership term must be transferred.
• A membership may only be transferred once.
• Payments remain the responsibility of the outgoing member until JT Dance Academy confirms the transfer has been completed.
• The $75 transfer fee must be paid before completion.
• A membership cannot be transferred while paused.
• Personal benefits already used do not reset following a transfer.

Silver and Gold memberships provide reduced membership rates and additional benefits in return for a minimum membership commitment.

Members wishing to leave before completing their agreed term may either:

• Transfer their remaining membership to another approved person for a $75 Membership Transfer Fee; or
• Request early cancellation and pay the applicable Early Cancellation Fee.

How the cancellation period is calculated

• The applicable Early Cancellation Fee is determined by the member's completed active membership period at the effective cancellation date.
• Membership pause periods do not count towards the completed active membership period.
• Any outstanding membership payments up to the effective cancellation date must also be paid.

Once the applicable Early Cancellation Fee and outstanding amounts have been received, JT Dance Academy will release the member from the remaining membership commitment.

Gold benefits are earned progressively throughout the membership term.

Complimentary Private Coaching

Gold members receive one complimentary 60-minute Private Coaching session during each completed 12-month membership term. The session becomes available after completion of 3 months of active Gold membership.

It:

• Is for the Gold member.
• Is subject to instructor availability.
• Cannot be exchanged for cash or membership credit.
• Cannot be transferred.
• Cannot be used while the membership is paused.

Guest social passes

Gold members receive one complimentary guest social pass for each completed three months of active membership, up to four during a 12-month term. Passes are earned progressively and are not issued in advance.

They:

• Apply to eligible JT Dance Academy socials.
• Have no cash value.
• Cannot be exchanged for membership credit.
• Are subject to event capacity and event conditions.

Silver members receive one complimentary guest social pass during each completed 6-month membership term.

The pass is subject to event capacity and applicable social conditions and cannot be exchanged for cash or membership credit.

We recognise that serious or unexpected circumstances may arise that are not appropriately addressed by the standard pause, transfer or early cancellation provisions.

Members experiencing significant unforeseen circumstances are encouraged to contact JT Dance Academy. JT Dance Academy may approve additional flexibility on a case-by-case basis.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

All requests must be made in writing to JT Dance Academy.

The request should include:

• Full name
• Membership type
• Type of request
• Requested effective date
• For a pause: requested return date
• For a transfer: details of the proposed incoming member

Submitting a request does not automatically stop membership payments. Payments continue until JT Dance Academy confirms in writing that the request has been approved and processed.
